YOU’RE SUCCESSFUL IN MANY AREAS OF LIFE, BUT YOUR RELATIONSHIP FEELS STUCK IN THE SAME ARGUMENT ON REPEAT.

Couples Intensives

Private, focused healing for couples ready to reconnect, rebuild, or release patterns that no longer serve them.

What Is a Couples Therapy Intensive?

A couples intensive is a private, extended-format therapy experience designed to help committed couples move through months’ worth of relational work in just a few days.

Instead of weekly 50-minute sessions that barely scratch the surface, couples intensives offer 3–6 hours of deep, focused support in one sitting — so you can finally have the breakthroughs you’ve been missing.

Whether you’re in crisis, navigating disconnection, or wanting to deepen intimacy, this is a powerful way to rebuild trust and move forward with clarity.

Why choose a Couples Therapy Intensive?

  • You get more clarity and progress in a single day than you would in months of weekly sessions

  • You won’t have to “pause” the process every 50 minutes

  • You receive identity-affirming care with a therapist who understands Asian, LGBTQ+, and high-achieving relationship dynamics

  • You’re investing in your relationship in a way that matches how much it matters to you

  • You are highly motivated in investing in your relationship and making transformative change

Couples Therapy Intensives are for partnerships who:

  • Feel stuck in repetitive cycles and want to reset

  • Struggle with communication, resentment, or emotional distance

  • Are healing from betrayal, disconnection, or unresolved conflict

  • Want to strengthen emotional and physical intimacy

  • Are navigating cultural or identity differences (e.g., queer, interracial, bicultural, high-achieving partnerships)

  • Are navigating difficult life decisions such as children, moving, family, and separation

  • Value therapy but need something deeper, faster, and more focused than weekly sessions

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A couples therapy intensive is a private, extended-format therapy session (half or full-day) designed to help you make meaningful progress quickly. Unlike traditional weekly therapy, intensives give you uninterrupted time to identify patterns, process past hurts, and rebuild your connection — all in one focused experience.

This format is especially helpful for busy couples who want deep work without dragging it out for months.

  • Absolutely. Intensives aren’t just for couples on the verge of breaking up. They’re ideal for partners who feel stuck, emotionally distant, or caught in recurring arguments — and want to address issues before they grow deeper.

Many high-functioning couples use intensives to strengthen communication, reconnect emotionally, or navigate identity and cultural differences.

  • It’s common — especially in Asian and LGBTQ+ communities — for one partner to feel unsure about therapy.
That’s why I offer a free 20-minute consult to answer questions, demystify the process, and help you both feel safe and seen.

Couples intensives are designed to be non-blaming, collaborative, and culturally sensitive — we move at a pace that honors your emotional safety.

  • Yes — I specialize in working with Asian American, multicultural, and LGBTQ+ couples.

Whether you’re navigating different family expectations, cultural values, or generational trauma, you’ll be supported in a space that honors both your identities and lived experiences.

  • That’s exactly why some couples try an intensive.
Weekly therapy often gets stalled by scheduling, emotional burnout, or surface-level conversations.
A couples intensive gives you enough time and structure to finally get to the root of issues and see real change — not just talk in circles.

  • Yes! Whether you’re feeling like roommates, experiencing a drop in emotional or physical intimacy, or just feel like something’s "off" — intensives are designed to rebuild connection in a deep, sustainable way.

We create space for you both to feel seen, heard, and re-attuned to each other.

  • If you're navigating trust repair or betrayal trauma, a couples intensive can provide the focused container needed to safely unpack and begin the healing process — without the pressure of cramming it into 50-minute weekly sessions.

This isn’t a quick fix — but it’s a real, supported starting point.

  • Yes — virtual intensives are just as effective, and many couples find them even more comfortable.
You’ll be in your own space, with privacy, comfort, and no commute or office distractions.

I use secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms and guide you through a structured yet warm process to keep things focused and connected.

  • It’s a valid question — especially when you’re used to traditional weekly therapy using insurance.

Couples intensives are priced differently because they offer a highly focused, customized, and accelerated experience that condenses months of therapy into a single day. You’re not just paying for more time — you’re paying for:

    • Undivided attention and personalized planning from a licensed relationship therapist

    • Deep, uninterrupted work that goes far beyond surface-level conversations

    • A curated process rooted in evidence-based methods like EMDR and Emotionally Focused Therapy

    • Follow-up integration and support after your intensive

    • The emotional cost of waiting months to feel better

This is a premium offering for couples who want change now, and are ready to invest in their healing, connection, and future.

And for many clients — especially high-achieving professionals — the cost of staying stuck, misunderstood, or disconnected is far higher.

You don’t have to keep wondering “Is this it?” in your relationship.
