MEET THUY
You don’t need to be told to work harder. You need space to breathe.
I help high-achieving Asian Americans and LGBTQ+ professionals get off the emotional treadmill and into real healing.
My mission is to help marginalized communities feel understood and supported as they learn how to build healthy relationships - with themselves, their loved ones, and their communities - rooted in love, trust, and resilience.
My Story as an Asian American Therapist in California
I (she/her/hers) was born in Vietnam and immigrated to the U.S. when I was four years old. I hold many different marginalized identities: bisexual, queer, a woman, a person of color, and the eldest child of immigrant parents. My own lived experiences with generational trauma and personal healing brought me to becoming a therapist. I’m a former overachiever and recovering perfectionist who finally realized that healing isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing it differently. I bring cultural nuance, lived experience, and deep care into the room. I take care of myself by going to therapy, cooking, listening to music, cuddling with my dog, spending time with loved ones, and traveling. I value authenticity and bring that into my work as a therapist by fostering open and honest communication.

Who I Work Best With
We’ll likely flow together if you:
Are a high-functioning professional or entrepreneur who’s overwhelmed but need to hold it together
Want to break intergenerational or trauma-based patterns
Are open to deeper work—not just symptom relief
Want to invest more in your meaningful relationships, but need some help
Are motivated to make change happen
How I Work
I use EMDR to help your body and mind process trauma in a safe, empowering way. I support couples in breaking toxic cycles and building real intimacy again. And when you’re ready to go deeper, I offer therapy intensives that help you transform patterns in days—not years. My work is grounded in research, rooted in cultural humility, and held with compassion. I'm trained in:
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Emotionally Focused therapy (EFT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Client Centered Therapy
Solution Focused Therapy
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Mindfulness
Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy (DNMS)
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
I want you to feel confident in choosing me as your therapist
When we work together, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where you can express yourself without fear of judgment. I am wholeheartedly committed to being fully present during our sessions, giving you my undivided attention, and prioritizing your needs. I am continuously working on myself by attending trainings and consulting with other professionals to make sure that I am honing my skills as a therapist and delivering the highest quality of care.
